We encourage all South Australian State nominated migrants to review the Department of Home Affairs website regularly and review their visa conditions outlined in the visa grant notification issued by the Department of Home Affairs or a Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) account.

All specific queries related to visa conditions must be directed to the Department of Home Affairs – contact us.

Migration Agents

If you are acting on behalf of a client and managing multiple applications you should register as a Migration Agent.

You will be able to submit all application categories Skilled & Business Migration offers.

South Australian Employer

If you are a South Australian Employer seeking to apply for advice through the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS), or to apply for endorsement to enter into a Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA), you should register as a South Australian Employer. Skilled & Business Migration is the Regional Certifying body (RCB) and Designated Area Representative (DAR) for South Australia.

Skilled Migrants

If you are a Skilled Migrant seeking to directly apply for your own nomination under the Skilled Regional subclass 491 or 190 visa category or Subclass 858 National Innovation visa, you should register as a Skilled Migrant.

Please ensure you register with your legal name as it is displayed in your passport. If your passport contains only a single name, please enter this into the Given Names field and enter "No Name" as your Family Name.

This category is not for Migration Agents.

Business Migrants

If you are a Business Migrant seeking to apply for your nomination under the Business Migration categories you should register as a business migrant

This category is not for Migration Agents or for the Subclass 858 National Innovation visa.

Retiree

If you are seeking to renew your State Sponsored Investor Retirement - subclass 405, you should register as a Retiree and you will be able to manage your initial application and any subsequent renewal applications.

This category is not for Migration Agents.

Overseas Qualification Recognition

If you are seeking to have your overseas qualifications assessed to assist you looking for work in your profession or trade, you should register as an Overseas Qualification Recognition user type.

Please select this registration type if you are an Australian Citizen or a holder of a visa with work rights (e.g. Partner visa, Refugee/Humanitarian, Working Holiday, Student, etc).

If you are already registered as a state nominated skilled migrant (visa subclass 190/489/491), log in to your account and apply for an Overseas Qualification Recognition listed under Services.

State Nominated dependents (visa subclass 190/489/491), and skilled Independent visa holders and their dependents (subclass 189) are to register as a Skilled Migrant registration type and apply for an Overseas Qualification Recognition listed under services.

To be eligible you must meet the following requirements:
- Living and working in South Australia
- Be a citizen, permanent resident, or a temporary resident with work rights
- Have completed higher education or technical/vocational education qualification overseas
